Tournament Rules
1. This is a Scramble tournament. Each Player will hit one shot. Between all the players the best ball is selected. All players will then hit their next shot from the best ball. A single player may only hit two shots in a row. Each player must use two tee shots throughout the entire round.
2. Mulligan: Each player is given one mulligan to use and it may only be used off the tee. A mulligan is also not allowed on the Jim Doran Chevrolet hole if you are purchasing the hole in one opportunity, or on prize KP holes. Additional mulligans may be purchased for $5.00 each.
3. String: In honor of our first tournament, string is back. Each of you received a 12 inch string in your goodie bag that can be used on any hole one time. No additional string will be sold unless you bribe the tournament director with cash. He may have some extra in his pocket.
4. Tee Box Rules: Every team will start each hole from the white tee box. Ladies will hit from the women’s tee of choice.
5. Color Ball – If your team purchased a color ball for $20 (per team) you must alternate the shot between players each time. If you complete the round without losing the color ball 7 shots will be deducted from your team score.
6. Men’s Long drive hole is # 9 – Drive must be in the short cut of the fairway. ~Titleist Carry bag awarded ~
7. Women’s Long drive hole is #18 – Drive must be in the short cut of the fairway. ~Nike Ladies Carry bag awarded~
8. Men’s KP is hole #2 – Crospete Sports Tsunami Cart bag awarded ~
9. Women’s KP is hole #2 – Nike Ladies Carry bag awarded~
10. Putting Contest – Prior to Hole #10 stop by the Country Club putting green and try 3 putts for $5.00. Winner will win an Odyssey Putter.
11. Jim Doran Chevrolet Hole-In-One #17: You can win a 2010 Chevy Camaro instantly for a Hole-In-One. Anyone who participates will also be able to choose three golf balls from the bin. (Cost $5 per person)
12. Porcupine Hole # 6. Choose your flag at this multiple holed green. If you don’t you will be sorry and hole out at the lone flag in the back of the green. (Cost $10 per team).
13. Miss Teen Oregon Hole. Brittany Thomas, Miss Teen Oregon is helping us today at the former Tiger Woods hole. With his recent problems we felt that we should not have him around Brittany and told him not to come. We did mark the record drive from last year on Hole #11 and Brittany would love for you to use Tiger’s drive from last year and will only charge $10 per team to hit your second shot 400 yards from the tee box on this very long par 5.
Please be mindful of why we are all here. To honor a young man who exemplified a Christ-like spirit and attitude. We are here to raise money for children, not win the U.S. Open. Have a ton of fun and don’t worry if people cheat to win a trophy.
