Caroline Harris
“Caroline Harris and I am a Foundation Board Member.”
Contribution to the Foundation:
“I am a people person and enjoy connecting with families and kids. So, I would say that I contribute in a personable way with families, at camps, and at the tournaments. I have done quite a bit of editing, which is fun for me. I also just like to help out wherever I am needed. Before I started my school program, I helped Carmen quite a bit with Seeds of Hope.”
Strengths You Add To The Board:
“I am personable, good at editing, like to laugh, laid-back and flexible, reliable and good with kids.”
Most Important Aspect of The ‘See Ya Later’ Foundation:
“The most important aspect to me is the privilege of being instruments of hope and joy to all of these families. Whether families come to us because of illness, financial need, or just to play football for a few days, there is a reason they are coming across our path.”
Why Did You Get Involved with The ‘See Ya Later’ Foundation:
“I kinda had no choice, I wanted to see my husband.
But I do love everything we do at the Foundation.”
Most Memorable ‘See Ya Later’ Moment:
“I don’t have one moment, but several. At each golf tournament, Pastor Jerry talks and we remember Scott, his life, what he believed, what he would want each one of us to believe, and then there is the balloon send off. Those few moments are the crux of what all of this is about. I always get a lump in my throat at that moment.”
Where Do You See Foundation In 5 Years:
“In five years it would be great if we had some type of complex or site that we could host sports camps. I see us increasing our scholarships to all of the small Yamhill County towns by then. I can see us having system of subcommittees in place for various aspects of the foundation, as well as a full-time revolving internship position.”
